The History:
Peru State College is a four-year institution located in Peru Nebraska. It was founded by members of the
[ more photos ] Methodist Episcopal Church in 1865.
It is known as the Campus of a Thousand Oaks. The college occupies twenty buildings spread across 104 acres.
In 2003, Peru State College was evaluated to determine whether it should continue operations or shut down.
The Haunting:
There are no specific events recorded regarding paranormal activities at this location. Rather, it is has simply been reported that the basement of the men's hall is haunted.
Observations:
Colleges typically are reported as haunted locations. Dormitories being the most frequently reported buildings on campus to be "haunted". Indeed, basements are also often reported as sites of paranormal activity within the dormitories. It is really hard to say whether or not this location is haunted because the report is not terribly specific.
